Ender’s Game.
Published 5 months ago • 2 min read
Hey Reader,
Over the weekend, my husband and I settled in for a cozy Saturday watch of Ender’s Game. If you haven’t seen it or read the series, I won’t spoil anything. But one question from the movie stuck with me:
How do you win?
Winning no matter what
As a former collegiate athlete, I know that competitive drive well. I hated to lose (and let’s be honest, still do!)
But over time, I realized there’s something worse than losing: winning at any cost.
Sure, my team sometimes pulled off a victory through sheer luck, or when a ref missed a foul.
But those wins didn’t really feel as satisfying.
It taught me a big lesson: there’s a difference between reaching a goal and reaching it in a way you’re proud of. And that applies to so many areas of life, including our health.
Becoming the leader of your own health
At the core of what I teach is how to be the leader of your own health. And it starts with asking yourself how you’ll approach your goals:
Are you depriving yourself just to meet a number?
Cutting out foods you love?
Ignoring hunger cues just to “stay on track”?
Skipping meals to fit into the dress?
Your health doesn’t have to come at a cost to the things you care about most.
In The Non-Diet Shift program, my participants are already diving into these questions in their workbooks, exploring their personal values, and finding that sweet spot where their health goals become something they could feel proud about.
To get to the other side... So that... ?
When your goals align with your values, they become more than just benchmarks; they can become life-changing.
While the current 2024 cohort is now underway, The Non-Diet Shift program is turning out to be such a success that I’ve decided to open a second cohort mid-January.
My current participants will have the chance to stay on as founding members in our graduate group for continued growth and support.
If you’re ready to approach your health goals with your purpose at the center, stay tuned for more info on joining us in January.
In good health,
