This past year, I’ve been reflecting on the state of nutrition science and practice.
In my 2025 Nutrition Manifesto, I am sharing a call for truth and critical thinking. Download the REVV Health Nutrition Manifesto 2025.pdf to keep as your guide for the year ahead and beyond.
Tracking exercise isn’t for everyone, and it’s definitely not something I recommend across the board. But for some, it can be a powerful tool to spark motivation.
Here’s why: action often comes before motivation. By simply showing up and doing the thing (even when you don’t feel like it, like laundry) you can build momentum.
Tracking those accomplishments can be incredibly satisfying, serving as a gentle reminder of your progress and keeping you inspired to continue.
To make it easy, I’m sharing my free Excel Exercise Tracker. PLEASE BE SURE TO MAKE A COPY OF IT BEFORE USING.
It’s straightforward and flexible, designed to celebrate what you’re already doing without the pressure of rigid goals.
Download it below and use it to track your wins in a way that feels motivating and empowering!
If you feel stressed about eating right now, it is not your fault.
The dieting industry has made it such that we might feel like the only way to “get healthier” is by figuring out what to cut out of our diets.
Whether it’s sugar, carbs, dairy, or entire food groups, the focus often lands on restriction rather than balance.
This narrative creates anxiety and guilt around food, making it harder to listen to your body’s needs or build sustainable habits.
That’s why I am so excited to host this free workshop for you!
In this workshop, you will get the tools you need to break diet-y habits that have been sabotaging your success so that you can cruise into 2025 with the three C’s from my 2025 manifesto: curiosity, compassion and clarity.
Here’s what you’ll take away:
Feel confident about what AND how you eat in 2025 using my 5-step method that works in any situation.
Break free from the dieting cycle that’s been holding you back—no more endless starts and stops.
Discover my non-diet S.H.I.F.T. method to make eating effortless and enjoyable, without ever feeling restricted.
Learn simple, actionable strategies to support your health, happiness, and love for food—minus the guilt or overwhelm.
This training feeds into the waitlist for my next non-diet SHIFT. Currently, the waitlist is open, and we will begin once I get ample new registrants for the next cohort.
Can't make it live? Register anyway so I can send you the replay!
A Non-Diet SHIFTer’s testimonial
“Before this program, I felt stuck in a cycle I couldn’t break. After a bad day, I’d usually spiral into self-judgment and feel like a failure. But now, I’m able to step back, show myself grace, and avoid the downward spiral. That’s exactly what I always wanted from a diet program, but this time, it isn’t a diet.
This program has really helped me do a shift with my patterns, my lifestyle, and my mindset. For the first time, I feel free from that constant pressure of getting back on a diet, and I’m so grateful for the support and guidance I’ve received from Marissa.
One of the biggest challenges now is figuring out how to share this new perspective with others. It feels like I’ve learned a secret about food and health that so many people don’t know. When I hear friends talking about things like ‘sugar being the devil,’ I realize how different my approach is now and it’s thanks to this program.”

My Fake Podcast
Speaking of the non-diet SHIFT, my participants got access to two incredible bonus sessions as part of their program.
I’m sharing one of those with you, my newsletter subscribers! This session ties into the core pillars my participants learned throughout the program and so this “podcast” was designed to help my folks navigate tricky social situations around the holidays with more confidence and ease.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by conversations about dieting, food rules, or body image, this is for you. This session offers practical tips and mindset shifts to help you stay grounded and aligned with your values, even when others are stuck in diet culture.

I was so thrilled to be interviewed by my colleague, Carrie Dennett, MPH, RDN in her wonderful article for Today’s Dietitian January 2025 issue!
In her article, The Risks of Undereating for Weight Loss, Carrie delves into the complex relationship between caloric restriction and long-term health.
I had the privilege of sharing insights from my work with individuals who’ve experienced the consequences of chronic dieting, including impacts on bone health, metabolic function, and overall well-being. This piece highlights why sustainable, non-restrictive dietary approaches are integral for long-term health and why we have to move beyond the oversimplified “calories in, calories out” advice. Check it out in Today’s Dietitian, Vol. 27 No. 1: The Risks of Undereating for Weight Loss
Cheers to a new year filled with the relentless pursuit of truth.
